2 and 3/4 cups water
2 tsp minced ginger
2 tsp minced garlic
1 and 1/2 tbsp bear spice
2 tablespoons ghee or nitar kibbe
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
fresh cilantro

Heat the Instant Pot in sauté mode.

Add ghee or nitar kibbe to the Instant Pot once it's hot.

Sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until the onions are soft and golden.

Add the bear spice mix and stir to coat for about 30 seconds.

Add the tomato paste and stir for about 30 seconds.

Add the water and the rinsed and drained lentils, stir everything up.

Pressure cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.

Let the pressure release on its own before opening the Instant Pot.
