Start cooking the shawarma in a pan, beginning with the smaller piece to avoid it falling apart.

Mix the shawarma a bit to ensure even cooking, but do not fully cook it as it will bake more in the oven.

Add a lid to the shawarma pan to help it steam and cook faster.

Add a little bit of salt to the potatoes and mix them with a spatula.
