Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.

Add cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves; cook for 1-2 minutes to release aromas.
Add lamb pieces and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Mix in yogurt and stir until well combined, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
Sprinkle turmeric and chili powder over the mixture and stir to incorporate.
Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
Cover and reduce heat to low; cook for 1.5-2 hours until lamb is tender.
Add ground almonds for thickness and stir well.
Season with salt to taste and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve hot with naan or rice.
