Roast 2 tablespoons of white sesame seeds until golden and fragrant.

Transfer the roasted sesame seeds aside.

Add 2 teaspoons of ghee to the same pan and toast 2 cups of freshly grated coconut for about 5 minutes until dry.

Add 1 cup of jaggery to the toasted coconut and mix on low heat until melted.

Stir in 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder and the toasted sesame seeds, then finish with 1/2 teaspoon of ghee and mix well.

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of readymade kurate flour with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of ginger oil.

Gradually add hot water while mixing until the dough comes together, kneading carefully to avoid burns.

Grease a modak mold with oil and press a portion of the dough into the mold, creating a cup shape.

Fill the cup with the coconut and sesame filling, then seal the top with more dough.

Gently open the mold to release the shaped modak and place them on a greased steaming tray.

Steam the modaks for about 10 minutes on medium flame until cooked.
