Suya, a beloved street food from Nigeria, is a spicy meat skewer often enjoyed at night markets and gatherings. Traditionally made with beef, it showcases the rich flavors of ground peanuts and spices, reflecting the culinary heritage of the Hausa people. Today, suya has gained popularity beyond Nigeria, with variations appearing in various West African countries and even in international food scenes, celebrated for its bold taste and smoky aroma.
