Prepare the dough by mixing 3 -1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp instant dry yeast, and 1 tsp vanilla extract in a bowl.
Add 1 cup water and 1 cup milk to the dry ingredients along with 1 whole egg and knead until smooth.
Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Prepare the cheese mixture by combining 1/2 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3/4 cup milk powder with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and 3 tbsp butter or margarine.
Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface and spread the cheese mixture over it.
Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and cut into equal pieces.
Place the pieces in a greased baking dish and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 150°C (approximately 302°F).
Bake for 25 minutes, checking the bread texture as baking time may vary with oven specifications.
