Marinate beef stew tips in Haitian spices for 2 hours in the fridge.

Add marinated beef to a pot and pour in 8 cups of water.

Steam the beef for 2 hours.

Boil 2 bags of butternut squash until soft.

Puree the boiled butternut squash in a Vitamix until thick.

Add the pureed squash to the pot with the beef and stir.

Prepare vegetables: wash and chop cabbage, celery, carrots, parsley, and scallion.

Skin and cube 2 russet potatoes and add to the pot.

Mix in onions and garlic with the other ingredients in the pot.

Add 6 more cups of water to the pot for broth.

Bring the soup to a boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
