Add 16 ounces of frozen pigeon peas and 2 liters of water to a pot.
Add 2 cups of fresh peas, scallion, cloves, and 1 tablespoon of oil to the pot.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 30 to 45 minutes.
Set some cooked peas aside if desired, then blend the remaining mixture until smooth.
Strain the blended mixture using a strainer to remove pulp.
Add seasonings: adobo, chicken bouillon cube, black pepper, fresh thyme, fresh parsley, 1/2 red bell pepper, and scotch bonnet pepper to the strained mixture.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat and cover.
After 10 minutes, add 1 can of coconut milk and let it boil for another 10 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more adobo or chicken bouillon as needed.
Serve the soup with rice or enjoy it on its own.
