Add the nut paste to the pan and cook, stirring continuously.
Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely.
Stir in cardamom powder and rose water for flavor.
Cook until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Spread the mixture onto a greased plate or tray.
Level the surface with a spatula and let it cool slightly.
Garnish with saffron strands and edible silver leaf if using.
Cut into desired shapes once cooled completely.
