Prepare 110 g balls of ground beef.
Mix 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, 1/3 cup yellow mustard, and 2 tbsp gherkin relish in a bowl to create the burger sauce.
Preheat a flat top grill or gas grill for about 10 minutes until hot.
Add oil to the grill to lubricate it.
Place the beef balls on the grill and smash them down with a burger press or spatula.
Season the patties with a pinch of kosher salt.
Cook until fluid forms on the top, then flip the patties and add a thick slice of cheese on top.
Once the cheese is melted, stack the patties and remove them from the grill.
Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill.
Assemble the burgers with sauce and double-stacked patties.
