Homemade Muesli

It was designed as a healthy breakfast option, emphasizing raw ingredients and whole grains. Today, muesli is enjoyed worldwide, often customized with various fruits, nuts, and sweeteners, making it a versatile and nutritious choice for breakfast or snacks.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Place a saucepan over low heat and add canola oil.
Add 120 ml of orange juice and the zest from one orange to the saucepan.
Add brown sugar to the mixture and stir.
Add 100 ml of honey and stir until everything is incorporated and slightly foamy on top.
In a large bowl, combine jumbo oats and rolled oats.
Add sesame seeds and sunflower seeds to the oats.
Chop mixed nuts coarsely and add them to the bowl.
Once the mixture in the saucepan is ready, pour it over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Spread the mixture in a roasting dish and place it in the preheated oven.
Every 20 minutes, check and toss the mixture to ensure even cooking.
Once the muesli reaches your desired crunchiness and dryness, remove it from the oven.
Add coconut, diced apricot, sultanas (or raisins), and banana chips to the muesli.
Mix in a significant amount of bran and combine everything well.
Store the muesli in airtight containers.
Serve with a dollop of yogurt and fresh berries.
