Heat 150 grams of vegetable oil in a pressure cooker.

2

Add 3 large cardamoms and 2 pieces of cinnamon to the oil and lightly fry them.

Add 410 grams of thinly sliced onions and sauté until golden, avoiding dark color.

4

Add 4 chopped green chilies and sauté lightly with the onions and spices.

5

Add 3 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste and sauté until slightly golden.

6

Mix in 1.5 teaspoons of salt, 1.5 tablespoons of red chili powder, 1 tablespoon each of cumin and coriander powder, and 2 teaspoons each of garam masala and turmeric powder, and roast the spices briefly.

Cook until the tomatoes soften and release their juices, about 6-7 minutes.

9

Pour in 2 glasses of water and bring to a boil on high heat.

Close the pressure cooker and simmer on medium flame for 15 minutes after it starts whistling.

After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and open the cooker.
