This sweet treat showcases the delightful combination of crispy wafers and rich fillings, reflecting the region's love for layered desserts. Today, variations can be found across the Balkans, with each family adding their unique twist, making it a cherished part of many culinary traditions.

Grind 7 to 8 cups of walnuts using a grinder or food processor.
Combine 2 cans of condensed milk with 3 sticks of room temperature butter in a bowl and blend until creamy.
Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and blend again.
Grind 1 package of graham crackers and mix with the walnut mixture.
Layer the thin wafers with the walnut mixture.
Apply weight to let the cake settle and suggest leaving it overnight.
Refrigerate for about 4 hours before serving.
