Pljeskavica, a beloved dish from Serbia, is often referred to as the Balkan hamburger. Traditionally made from a mix of meats, it reflects the region's rich culinary heritage and is commonly enjoyed at gatherings and celebrations. Today, it has gained popularity beyond Serbia, with variations appearing in many countries, showcasing its versatility and appeal.

Make mincemeat with minced pork, salt, coriander, and ground black pepper, mixing well.
Finely chop the onions and mix them with the minced meat.
Form a ball from the meat and place it on the chopped onions, mixing well.
Flatten the minced meat on a plate lined with film to remove air gaps and let it stand cold.
Pour water into a cauldron and boil it.
Add potatoes to boiling water and boil for 9 minutes.
Remove the potatoes and pour out the water.
Pour vegetable oil into the cauldron and heat it up.
Add the boiled potatoes to the hot oil and roast until nicely browned, then remove them.
Heat a special frying pan and add the prepared meat, reducing the fire to a minimum and covering with a lid.
Check the meat periodically, flipping it if possible, and cook until done.
Fry chopped garlic in the remaining fat to make a sauce for the meat.
Serve the Pljeskovica with the roasted potatoes.
