Coconut oil is plant-based and lower in saturated fat; margarine is usually cheaper.

Melt 1 stick of butter and set aside for later use.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of flour, and 1 cup of milk.

Blend the ingredients until smooth.

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture.

If using canned peaches, use 29 ounces of peaches in juice, not drained.

Dump the peaches with the liquid into the batter mixture.

Pour the combined mixture into a baking dish.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes.

Optionally, place a cookie sheet underneath if using a flimsy to-go pan.
