Alfredo Sauce

1/4 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup cream cheese
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste
pepper to taste
fresh parsley or dry Italian seasoning (optional)

Cut half a stick of butter into pieces to help it melt faster.

Add 1 cup of heavy cream to the pan with the butter.

Simmer on very low temperature until melted and combined.

Cut 1/4 cup of cream cheese into pieces to help it melt faster and add it to the pan.

Stir until everything is melted and smooth, then turn off the stove.

Add about 3/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and stir until thickened.

Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, a pinch of salt, and a little red pepper flakes for heat.

If you don't have heavy cream, use 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour and regular milk to thicken the sauce instead.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning as needed.
