½ cup oil
1 tbs black peppercorns
1 tbs cinnamon (whole)
1 tbs bay leaf
¼ cup garlic
¼ cup ginger
2 tsp salt
1 cup water
4 cup rice
2 small onions
1 large cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
4 dried lemons
1 tbs butter
1 tbs green chili
½ cup crushed garlic
3 tsp salt
5 cardamoms
1 tsp black peppercorns
1 tbs mandi masala
1 tbs chicken powder
1 tbs lemon juice
6 cups water
3 tbs oil
5 potatoes
1 tsp salt
3 tomatoes
3 peppers
3 very ripe tomatoes
½ tsp salt

Sear the lamb shanks in oil over high heat.

Add all the above ingredients and water and cook on medium to low heat for 3 to 5 hours, or until the meat is completely tender.

Place a burnt coal over aluminum foil, drizzle with oil and let it smoke for 30 minutes.

Wash and soak the rice.

Add the rice and cook on high heat until all the liquid is gone and then put on low flame until the rice is done.

Add peeled potatoes, salt, tomatoes, and peppers.
