1 pound (500 grams) ground beef

1 tablespoon ginger
0.5 tablespoon minced garlic
2 cups shredded coleslaw mix (carrot, cabbage, onion)
0.5 cup roughly chopped spring onions (scallions)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
dried chili flakes (optional)
sesame seeds (for serving)

Heat a deep pan over medium to high heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil.

Add 1 pound (500 grams) of ground beef to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and break it up with a spatula.

Cook the beef for about 6 to 8 minutes until the water content is cooked out and the meat looks dry.

Add 2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce (or coconut aminos), 1 tablespoon of ginger, and 0.5 tablespoon of minced garlic to the pan.

Add 2 cups of shredded coleslaw mix (carrot, cabbage, onion) to the pan and mix everything together.

Cook the mixture over medium heat for 5 minutes, ensuring the vegetables retain some texture.

Just before serving, add 0.5 cup of roughly chopped spring onions (scallions) and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, mixing well.

Optionally, sprinkle dried chili flakes over the dish for added heat.
