Start by selecting 2 avocados that are neither too ripe nor too unripe, they should yield slightly when pressed.

Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit.

Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl using a spoon and discard the skin.

Mash the avocado flesh in the bowl until smooth.

Chop 1 onion finely and set aside.
