1 ½ cups Toor dal (pigeon pea)
½ cup Yellow Moong dal (yellow split gram)
Water
1 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)
½ tsp Cumin seeds
½ inch Ginger (peeled & finely chopped)
2 no. Green chillies (chopped)
Salt to taste
5-6 cups Water
1 tbsp Tender Coriander stem (finely chopped)
½ tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Degi red chili powder
¼ tsp Coriander powder
2 tsp Oil
1 no. Green chili (less spicy & chopped)
½ tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
Cooked Rice
1 tbsp Butter (cubed)
1 tbsp Oil
2-3 Bedgi red chili
A pinch of asafoetida
½ inch Ginger (peeled & finely chopped)
1 no. Green chili (chopped)
½ tsp Degi red chili powder
Coriander sprig (for garnish)

In a bowl, add toor dal, yellow moong dal, and water, then rinse well and set aside.

In a pressure cooker, heat ghee, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add washed dal, ginger, green chillies, salt, water, tender coriander stems, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well and cover with the lid.

Cook for 3-4 whistles until the dal is mushy on medium to high flames.

Add water and salt to taste, stir well, and give it a quick boil. Transfer to a serving bowl and pour the tadka on top, garnishing with coriander sprig.

In a pan, heat oil, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add green chillies, coriander leaves, cooked rice, and butter. Toss well on medium flames and transfer to a serving bowl with the prepared dal, garnishing with coriander sprig.

In a pan, heat oil and ghee, add bedgi red chili, a pinch of asafoetida, and sauté.

Add ginger, green chili, and degi red chili powder, mixing well. Turn off the flame and set aside for further use.
