Homemade Condensed Milk

This homemade version allows for customization and avoids preservatives found in store-bought options, making it a beloved choice for many.

Coconut oil provides a dairy-free alternative.
Start by taking a pan and adding 1 liter of milk to it.
Add 200 grams of sugar to the milk.
Cook the mixture on high flame, stirring continuously to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.
Bring the milk to a boil while stirring occasionally.
As the milk reduces, it will change color to a darker shade and become creamier.
Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the desired consistency is reached.
Add 1 pinch of baking soda to the mixture and stir continuously; bubbles will form.
Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes while stirring constantly until the color is perfect and the consistency is thick enough.
Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down completely.
Once cooled, transfer the condensed milk to an airtight container.
