1

Welcome to the Hillbilly Kitchen. Today we're making beer bread with four ingredients.

2

Start by sifting 3 cups of self-rising flour. If you don't have self-rising flour, use 3 cups of plain flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

3

Melt about 4 to 6 tablespoons of butter. Grease the bottom of a metal pan with some of the melted butter, saving a little for the top of the bread.

4

Combine the flour and sugar in a bowl, then pour in the beer at room temperature. Mix until well combined, but do not over mix to avoid tough bread.

5

Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread it out evenly. Pour the remaining melted butter on top for a buttery crust.

6

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake the bread for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.

7

Let the bread cool slightly before serving.
