In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of brown bread flour.
Add 2 teaspoons of yeast, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
Mix the dry ingredients until well incorporated.
Add 2 teaspoons of butter or margarine and rub it in until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Make a deep hole in the mixture and pour in 250 ml of warm water.
Mix using a spatula or mixing spoon until combined.
If desired, add seeds like sunflower or pumpkin seeds to the mixture for seeded bread.
Sprinkle flour on the work surface and place the dough on it.
Knead the dough for about 5 to 6 minutes, adding more flour if needed.
Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll them into small balls.
Cover the dough balls with a clean cloth and leave them in a warm place for 40 to 45 minutes until doubled in size.
In a clean bowl, crack and beat one egg, then set it aside.
Once the dough has doubled in size, apply the beaten egg on the dough balls for a glossy finish.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the dough balls.
Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes until done.
Transfer the baked bread to a cooling rack and let it cool down a bit before serving.
