Wash 1/2 cup rice thoroughly.

Soak the rice in water for 20-30 minutes.

In a silver steel pot, add the soaked rice and 2-3 cups of water, then cover and boil for 3-4 minutes.

In a frying pan, add 1/4 cup sugar and melt it on medium-low heat, stirring until caramelized.

Add 1 cup of milk to the caramel and mix well until dissolved.

Add 1 litre of milk to the rice, mixing thoroughly.

After some time, add the caramelized milk to the rice and mix again.

Add an additional 1/2 cup sugar according to taste and 2 cardamom pods, mixing well.

Cook on low to medium flame, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.

Add raisins and any other dry fruits you prefer and cook for a few more minutes.
