Prepare the sugar syrup by dissolving 1 tsp of sugar in 1 cup of water and set aside.

In a saucepan, heat 750 ml of milk and mix in 2.5 tbsp of custard powder and 4 tbsp of sugar, stirring until thickened.

In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 100 ml of milk with a few drops of vanilla essence and set aside.

Take the packet of bread and cut it into slices or pieces.

Layer the soaked Khubani at the bottom of a serving dish.

Add a layer of the prepared custard over the Khubani.

Dip the bread pieces in the sugar syrup and layer them on top of the custard.
