1

Roast 1 cup of white sesame seeds on low to medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes until their rawness is gone.

2

Remove some roasted sesame seeds to use later.

3

Add 1 cup of normal (unboiled) milk to the remaining sesame seeds and bring to a boil on medium flame, stirring continuously.

4

Cook until the sesame seeds absorb the milk and become soft, about 2 to 3 minutes.

5

Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool for 5 to 6 minutes.

6

Blend the mixture into a coarse paste, ensuring it is not too fine.

7

In a kadhai, melt 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of ghee on low flame.

8

Add the sesame paste to the ghee and cook, stirring continuously, until the moisture evaporates.

9

Add 1 cup of sugar and mix well, covering to help the sugar melt without adding water.

10

Blend 8 to 10 cashews and almonds into a fine powder and add to the mixture along with 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut.

11

Continue to cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the kadhai.

12

Transfer the mixture to a tray lined with butter paper, sprinkle reserved sesame seeds on top, and let it cool to set.
