Take cornflour and mix it with little milk without any lumps. keep it aside.

Now take half liter of milk in a pan and start to boil. when it boils add quarter cup of sugar, mix it well until the sugar gets melted completely. Next add the cornflour mixture and stir it continuously. It will turn creamy and thick. At this stage add the vanilla essence and ghee and stir it for a minute. Now switch off the flame.

Grease the mold with ghee and pour the milk mixture. Tap it to make even. When it is completely cooled place it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hrs.

Take the desiccated coconut in a plate. If you don't have desiccated coconut use freshly shredded coconut and dry it for 2 to 3 hrs. Now remove the pudding from the mold and coat it with the coconut. Place a cherry for garnishing. Now our pudding is ready serve it chill.
