2 cups vitamin D whole milk

Bring 2 cups of vitamin D whole milk to a boil in a pot.

Dump in 1 cup of rolled oats and stir.

Lower the heat to a simmer and do not cover the pot to prevent boiling over.

Cook the oats for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After 10 minutes, check that the oats are tender and not gluey or gummy.

Serve the cooked oats in a bowl.

Garnish with brown sugar, walnuts or pecans, raisins, currants, sultanas, blueberries, dried apricots, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Optionally, add a little whipped cream on top.
