Oatmeal is a popular breakfast dish in many cultures, particularly in the United States and Canada, where it is often served warm and can be customized with various toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water or milk

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium saucepan, bring the water or milk to a boil.

  4. 4If using, stir in honey or maple syrup and cinnamon.

Instructions

  3. 3Sprinkle the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
  4. 4Drizzle the lime juice over the bowl and toss gently to combine all ingredients.
  5. 5Garnish with fresh cilantro on top.
  6. 6Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
