Non-alcoholic option for flavor without alcohol

Peel and slice bananas into thick pieces.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbling.

Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.

Sprinkle in cinnamon and nutmeg, stirring to combine.

Add banana slices and cook until caramelized, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Pour in dark rum and carefully ignite with a long lighter to flambé, if desired.

Allow flames to subside, cooking for an additional minute to cook off alcohol.

Serve warm over scoops of ice cream.

Drizzle sauce over the top and garnish with additional cinnamon, if desired.
