Add ghee and rub it into the flour mixture until crumbly.
In a separate bowl, combine sugar, milk, and vanilla extract; stir until sugar dissolves.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth; cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
Cut the rolled dough into diamond or square shapes using a knife or pizza cutter.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until hot.
Fry the cut pieces in batches until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds while still warm, if desired.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
