Corned Beef Bierocks

Cultural Context

Bierocks, also known as Runza, are a traditional dish in Russian and Eastern European cuisine, often filled with meat and cabbage. They were brought to America by German-Russian immigrants and have become popular in various regions, particularly in the Midwest. This dish reflects the blending of cultures and the practicality of using leftover meats in a portable form.
