200 gm vermicelli
2 tbsp soften butter
1 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp custard
2 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1 tsp butter

Grease a 6 inch pan with 1 tbsp butter.

Pour half portion of vermicelli mixture into the pan.

In a bowl, mix 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 1 tbsp corn flour, 1 tsp custard, and 2 tbsp sugar until well combined.

Cook the mixture until it reaches a thick consistency.

Add 1 tsp butter and mix well.

Pour the thick milk mixture over the vermicelli layer in the pan.

Spread the remaining vermicelli mixture on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 10-15 minutes until crispy golden brown.

For the sugar syrup, boil 1/3 cup sugar and 1/3 cup water for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the sugar syrup over the hot kunafa and let it cool completely.

Top with pistachios.
