1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons corn flour
100 grams cream cheese
200 grams feni
1/2 cup melted butter

Prepare the sugar syrup by adding 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a saucepan.

Turn on the flame and stir on medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes until the sugar dissolves.

Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice to prevent crystallization and remove from heat once syrup is formed.

In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 2 tablespoons corn flour, stirring well.

Heat the mixture on low flame until it thickens, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Mix in 100 grams of cream cheese until well combined.

Crush 200 grams of feni and add a few drops of orange food color, mixing well.

Add 1/2 cup melted butter to the feni mixture and mix thoroughly.

Grease a non-stick pan with butter and spread half of the feni mixture evenly in the pan.

Refrigerate for 5 minutes to set.

Spread the cream mixture evenly over the feni base.

Top with the remaining feni mixture, leveling it well.

Cook on low flame for 1 minute, then place a tava underneath to prevent burning.

Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, flip the kunafa onto another greased non-stick pan and cook for another minute on the other side.

Chop pistachios for garnishing.

Once cooked, pour the sugar syrup over the kunafa and garnish with chopped pistachios.
