Chop half of a large onion.

Chop half a carrot.

Heat olive oil in a pot.

Add chopped onion and carrot to the pot and sauté until softened.

Add 1 clove of garlic to the pot, avoiding adding it too early to prevent burning.

Add 1 bay leaf to the mixture.

Add pre-cooked pork and beans to the pot.

Add a bit of water to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook.

After about 30 minutes, add chopped cabbage to the pot.

Remove the bay leaf after cooking.

Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if necessary.

Serve hot with rice.
