Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. 1Mix all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. 2Melt ghee and add it to the flour mixture, mixing until crumbly.
  3. 3Add milk and vanilla extract, and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  4. 4Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. 5Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
  6. 6Cut the rolled dough into diamond or square shapes using a knife or pastry cutter.
  7. 7Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot.
  8. 8Fry the cut pieces in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  9. 9Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  10. 10Sprinkle sesame seeds on top while still warm.

  • 2 cups poha (flattened rice)
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup dried coconut flakes
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 10-12 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. 1Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; let them splutter.
  3. 3Add chopped green chilies and curry leaves; sauté for a minute.
  4. 4Stir in peanuts and cashews; fry until golden brown.
  5. 5Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt; mix well.
  6. 6Add poha and sugar; stir gently to combine without breaking the poha.
  7. 7Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to heat through.
  8. 8Add dried coconut flakes and raisins; mix well.
  9. 9Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.
