- 5In a small bowl, soak saffron in warm milk for 10 minutes.
- 6Add saffron milk to the thickened milk mixture.
- 7Stir in cardamom powder and nutmeg.
- 8Add rose water and vanilla extract; mix well.
- 9In a separate pan, heat ghee and lightly toast almonds, pistachios, and cashews until golden.
- 10Garnish the basundi with toasted nuts before serving.
- 11Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving, if desired.
