Heat ghee in a medium-high pan.
Add cashews and raisins to the ghee and fry until golden brown.
Remove the fried cashews and raisins and set aside.
Add uncooked vermicelli to the remaining ghee in the pan and roast until golden brown.
Pour in 2 cups of hot water into the roasted vermicelli and mix well.
Add food coloring, stirring to combine.
Cook on low flame until the vermicelli is soft, about 5 minutes.
Add sugar gradually, mixing well until melted and the mixture thickens.
Continue cooking until the consistency is tight and not loose, then turn off the gas.
Fold in the fried cashews and raisins into the mixture.
