Boil water in a pot and add about 2 teaspoons of salt to it.
Wait until the water reaches a boiling point, then add the egg noodles.
Let the noodles cook until they are done, about 5-7 minutes, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add chopped garlic and sauté until it starts to turn light golden.
Add sliced chicken to the skillet and cook until it changes color and is almost cooked through.
Once the chicken is nearly cooked, add shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Add julienned carrots and shredded cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry until the cabbage is tender but still has some crunch.
Prepare the sauce by mixing 1 teaspoon of dark soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of light soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon of honey in a bowl.
Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and toss everything together to combine.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add a little red chili powder for heat if desired.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the chicken, shrimp, and vegetables.
In a separate bowl, crack two eggs and season with salt and pepper.
Make an omelet with the eggs in a separate pan, then slice it into strips once cooked.
Serve the Bami Goreng hot, topped with the omelet strips and garnished with chopped green onions and lime wedges.
