Welcome viewers and introduce the recipe for crispy layered pastry without yeast or oven.
Take 2 cups of all-purpose flour and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, mix well.
Gradually add 1/2 cup of room temperature water and mix until combined.
Knead the dough for about 2 minutes until it becomes smooth and not sticky.
Cover the dough and let it rest for around 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, check the dough; it should be soft and relaxed.
Divide the dough into 6 equal balls.
Dust the work surface with a little flour and roll each ball into a flat disc.
Prepare a mixture of 6 tablespoons of corn flour and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, and mix well.
Sprinkle the flour mixture on each rolled disc to prevent sticking.
Stack the rolled discs on top of each other, applying the flour mixture in between each layer.
Roll out the stacked discs into a larger flat disc, ensuring even thickness.
Sprinkle a pinch of baking soda on the surface of the rolled dough to keep the green onions crispy.
Spread melted butter evenly on the dough surface.
Sprinkle chopped green onions over the buttered surface.
Optionally, sprinkle around 2 tablespoons of cheese on top of the green onions.
Cut the dough into strips and roll them up tightly to form layers.
Fold the rolled dough into a spiral shape and press down gently.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat and fry the layered dough for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the pan and let it cool slightly before serving.
