Toasted oats add texture and are often less expensive.

Add coconut milk into the pot.

Pour in water.

Add rinsed and drained long grained rice.

Season with a pinch of salt and stir until combined.

Cover the pot and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce heat to low and cover again, simmering for about 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, check for liquid; if there's still some, partially cover the pot and simmer for another 5 minutes until fully cooked.

Once cooked, garnish the rice with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
