Spoon the mixture onto the center of each banana leaf rectangle, folding the leaves to create packets.
Place the packets in a steamer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
Steam the conkies for about 45-60 minutes, or until firm and cooked through.
Remove the conkies from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
