Add 1 litre water, 2 kg cow foot, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and 3-5 whole peppercorns to a pressure cooker.

Cook for 1.5 hours in the pressure cooker (stovetop process takes longer).

In a separate pot, shallow fry 1 chopped white onion until tender.

Add 1 tsp salt, 2 bay leaves, and 1 tsp crushed black pepper to the onions and stir.

Add 1 tsp medium curry powder and fry on medium heat until golden.

Mix in tomato paste (using cow foot broth to mix) or fresh chopped tomatoes and cook down for five minutes.

Add the cooked cow foot into the pot with the onion mixture.

Allow the stew to cook down for about 20-30 minutes.

Add chopped frozen green vegetables and cook down for a further 5-6 minutes, mixing well.

Serve hot with sadza, Isitshwala, or pap.
