Make a trial fat cook to test the cooking time and seasoning, cooking for about 1.5 to 2 minutes initially.
Adjust cooking time to 2.5 to 3 minutes based on the trial fat cook.
Ensure the heat is set to medium to high while cooking.
Use paper towels to absorb excess oil after cooking.
