This hearty stew reflects the resourcefulness of using every part of the animal, showcasing flavors and textures that are both rich and comforting. Today, variations exist across different cultures, with cow heel dishes being popular in various forms around the world, from Caribbean to African cuisines.

Wash the cow foot thoroughly.
Prepare the green blend mixture by combining tomato seeds, scotch bonnet pepper, scallion, thyme, onion, and garlic with 1/4 cup of water in a blender.
Add 1 tablespoon of Maggie all-purpose seasoning to the green blend mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon of Bhadia all-purpose seasoning to the mixture.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of parsley to the mixture.
Pour in 1 tablespoon of mushroom soy sauce.
Add 1 tablespoon of jerk sauce to the mixture.
Add Grace ketchup and a can of beans (to be added later).
Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly to ensure even distribution of seasoning.
Heat oil in a pot over high heat and add crushed garlic.
Add hot water to the pot to extract all the seasoning from the mixture.
Cover the pot and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Check the mixture periodically to ensure it doesn't dry out, adding water as necessary.
After about 30 minutes, check the tenderness of the cow foot and add more water if needed.
Continue cooking until the cow foot is tender; this may take about 3 hours.
Once tender, add the can of beans and optionally spinach (if desired).
Let it cook down for an additional 5-10 minutes.
