🥗Healthier: chicken feet

Chicken feet and pork trotters provide similar textures at a lower cost.

lime juice

🥗Healthier: lemon juice

💰Cheaper: vinegar

Lemon juice adds acidity, while vinegar is a more economical option.

1

Clean the cow heel by removing hair and washing it with lemon juice and vinegar.

2

Add the cleaned cow heel to a pot.

3

Add about 1/2 cup of split peas and 2-3 heaping tablespoons of green seasoning to the pot.

4

Season with salt and add boiling hot water from a kettle to cover the ingredients.

5

Cover the pot and cook on low heat for about two hours.

6

After two hours, check the soup; the pumpkin should be breaking apart and the meat should be falling off the bone.

7

Mix the soup well and add in the potatoes.

8

Season with black pepper and spicy all-purpose seasoning, and add mixed herbs; mix well.

9

Prepare dumplings by combining flour, a pinch of salt, and mixed herbs with regular temperature water to form a dough.

10

Shape the dumplings into desired shapes and sizes.

11

Add the dumplings to the soup and let them cook through.

12

Once the soup is cooked, add a heaping tablespoon of green seasoning for fresh flavor and mix well.

13

Turn off the pot after about a minute of mixing in the green seasoning.
