Prepare 1 kilogram of matoke by peeling it and cutting it into pieces.

Chop 1 onion and set it aside.

Cut the pumpkin into pieces and set it aside.

Gather local mushrooms, preferably dried ones, and set them aside.

Light a charcoal stove to start cooking.

Place the matoke in a pot without letting it touch the water, layering it properly.

Add the chopped onion on top of the matoke.

Cover the pot and let it cook for about 2 hours.

While the matoke is cooking, prepare the sauce by frying the chopped onion in a separate pot.

After frying for a while, add the Irish potatoes and rice to the pot.

Cook the potatoes and rice together until they are soft, about 15 minutes.

Once the potatoes are soft, add peanut butter to the mixture without measuring, just to taste.

Add the local mushrooms to the mixture and season with salt as desired.
