1

Take a bowl and add 2 cups of milk powder.

2

Add 0.5 cups of ghee to the milk powder and mix well until it binds in a fist.

3

If it doesn't bind well, add a little more ghee.

4

In a kadhai (wok), add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water without turning on the gas yet.

5

Turn on the gas and stir continuously to prepare a sugar syrup.

6

Cook until the syrup reaches a one-string consistency, checking occasionally.

7

Once ready, lower the flame and add the milk powder mixture, stirring continuously to prevent sticking.

8

After mixing well, turn off the gas to prevent the syrup from thickening too much.

9

Add 0.5 teaspoons of cardamom powder for flavor and mix well.

10

Transfer the mixture to a greased plate and spread it out with a spoon.

11

Once it cools down enough to handle, spread it out with your hands to set it.

12

Press assorted dry fruits into the mixture and let it set for 1 hour at room temperature.

13

After 1 hour, cut the barfi into desired shapes, starting by cutting the edges first.
