Heat 2 cups of milk in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds until warm to touch.
In a large bowl, mix 4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, a pinch of salt, and 2 1/4 teaspoons of instant dry yeast.
Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the warm milk little by little, mixing as you go.
Use your hands to mix the batter until you achieve a consistency that is not too dry, thick, or runny.
Cover the batter and place it in a warm place (like an oven) for 30 minutes to rise.
Heat 4 cups of vegetable oil in a pot until hot.
Scoop the batter into the hot oil using your hands, a spoon, or an ice cream scoop, ensuring to wet your hands to prevent sticking.
Fry the batter until golden brown, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once golden brown, remove the fried pieces from the oil and drain on a strainer or paper towels.
