Today, Peri Peri has found its way into various cuisines worldwide, with tofu being a popular vegetarian option that showcases its versatility.

Instructions

  1. 1Press tofu to remove excess moisture for 30 minutes.
  2. 2Cut tofu into cubes or slices.
  3. 3Combine peri peri sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  4. 4Add tofu to the marinade and toss to coat evenly.
  5. 5Marinate tofu for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  6. 6Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  7. 7Skewer marinated tofu along with bell peppers, onion, and zucchini.
  8. 8Grill skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until charred.
  9. 9Add cherry tomatoes to the grill for the last 5 minutes.
  10. 10Remove skewers from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

  • โ—1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • โ—1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • โ—1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • โ—1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • โ—2 cloves garlic, minced
  • โ—2 tbsp soy sauce
  • โ—1 tbsp sesame oil
  • โ—1 tsp ginger, grated
  • โ—1/2 tsp black pepper
  • โ—1/4 tsp salt
  • โ—1/4 cup cornstarch
  • โ—Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, crumble the pressed tofu into small pieces.
  2. 2Add the finely chopped mushrooms, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, black pepper, and salt to the bowl. Mix well until combined.
  3. 3Sprinkle the cornstarch over the mixture and mix until the cornstarch is evenly distributed.
  4. 4Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. 5Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for frying.
  6. 6Once the oil is hot, carefully add the tofu mushroom balls to the pan, making sure not to overcrowd it.
  7. 7Fry the balls for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. 8Remove the balls from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  9. 9Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • โ—1 tbsp sesame oil
  • โ—1 tbsp olive oil

  • โ—1/4 tsp black pepper
  • โ—1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix the minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. 3Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  4. 4While the tofu is marinating, preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  5. 5Cut the nori sheets into strips or squares, depending on your preference.
  6. 6Once the tofu has marinated, take each cube and wrap it with a piece of nori.
  7. 7Place the wrapped tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nori is crispy and the tofu is golden.
  9. 9Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  10. 10Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
